Period 4 Photo II
journal
1. Which altered portrait was the hardest to create? Why? Explain.
The hardest altered portrait to create was the blue and brown one because only certain photographies go with it. it can't be just any kind of image because sometimes they are way to dark.
2. Which altered portrait was the easiest to create? Why? Explain.
The easiest altered portrait to create was the collage one. It was much easier because I already had practice and was way easier to create.
3. What does "Altered Portrait" mean to a viewer vs a photographer? Explain.
An altered portrait to a viewer it means that he/she can change and edit the image. To a photographer, it means that he/she can take the image/photography.
4. Out of the 7 altered portraits which one will you likely create again? Why? Explain.
Out of all the seven altered portraits I would most likely re-create the collage because it was much easier and a faster process. The collage gives the image a different significant idea of the image.
5. What is the historical significant behind one of the altered portrait techniques you learned? Explain.
The historical significant behind one of the altered portrait techniques that I learned was overlay and how to create a cracked face in an easier way.
6. Why is it important for you to learn how to alter portraits? Explain.
To me it's important to learn how to alter portraits because it can help me understand how the client or model would like her/his picture/image done when edited.
7. Should all portraits be altered? Why or Why not? Explain.
Personally, I thing that all the portraits shouldn't be altered because it all depends on how the models or clients want their image done. Not everybody would want a blue or brown image but only an original portrait of themselves.
8. By altering an portrait, what does it allow you to do to the portrait? Explain.
When altering a portrait it allows you to change the image and make it look different and not original as it's taken.

Blur motion journal

1. What is blur motion? (In your own words, not what I gave you above) Explain.
Blur motion for me is that an image is blurry but only in the background and not the main model/ object, or it can be only the main model/object is blur and not the background.
2. What all do you need to create a blur motion image? Explain.
The most basic things you need to create a blur motion is a model or an object, a tripod and obviously a camera. The rest is made the photographer or model.
3. What is your subject going to be? What will it be doing? Explain.
The subject is not necessarily in need of doing something. the subject can be standing and the photographer can be doing the camera making a blur motion as the same way as with the tripod.
4. What do you adjust in the camera to get a blur motion image work? Explain.
Something that i adjust in the camera is the shutter speed. The shutter speed has to be on the "s" to start making the blur motion, also adding the camera so it can focus on the subject and the rest can be blurry.
5. Find 25 images and explain how it was taken and what it is I am seeing in the image?
first project proposal
1. What type of photography did you pick to do for your project? Explain what it is.
The type of photography that I picked for my project is romanticism portraits with flowers. Basically, romanticism portraits with flowers are normal portraits with natural backgrounds to make the image look as romantic as it can. To no make it look as basic I will add a flower crown or just a natural/fake flower with the romantic photo.
2. How are you going to shoot the images for this project? Explain.
The idea of shooting the images for this project is to shoot them in the ABQ Bio Park (Botanic Garden). Making the background really natural but blurry so the main focus can be at the main model/s. Using a red rose to make it look romantic with the colors.
3. Is there any thing specific that you need to have for your images? Explain (model, location, certain time of day, ect....).
Yes, in certain things. The model really doesn't matter because i can be any human been, just needs to be at an age that they can stay still when necessary. The location does matter, the kind of background will be the location so it has to look as natural
as possible to look really romantic. The certain time of day doesn't matter because with the model, background and objects (flowers).
